In a home with an inaccessible crawl space, or limited slab accessibility, HVAC returns under the slab, and other scenarios where active soil depressurization isn't practical, an energy recovery ventilator can be used to treat radon problems. Negative air pressure in lower levels of the home creates a force that pulls soil gases, including radon, inside. By reducing the negative air pressure, an energy recovery ventilator can reduce your radon levels while delivering fresh air into your home.

I was really surprised this week, One local real estate broker still does not be leave radon gas at 4.0 pCi/L needs fixed. Both the State and US EPA have statements about fixing radon gas at 4 or higher. Yes it is recommended to be fixed, No it is not mandatory, but if not fixed, the high levels must be disclosed. Banks don't lend money if the home has a environmental issue, buyers general won't buy, not to mention the liability issue down the road. For more info go to the links below.
